Prairie Exchanges proposes a regional market hub in Bassano, Alberta that reactivates Southern Alberta's historic culture of making and trade. Drawing from early 20th century artisan networks and contemporary demand for local goods, the project creates a visible, shared space for exchange between rural producers, Indigenous makers, and settler communities. Through architecture and landscape, the project re-establishes Bassano as a cultural and economic node along the prairie corridor.
